The Alicante Provincial Council will carry out various road safety improvement works at the roundabout of Camí Cabanes / Travessia de Cansalades and Calle Brussel·les / Haja ("Carrasco roundabout") starting from May 6th, which require reorganizing the traffic in the area so that the works can proceed smoothly and minimize the effects on daily traffic.

For this reason, several alternative routes have been prepared to minimize the effects on daily traffic:

• The stretch between the Camí Cabanes roundabout ("Carrasco roundabout") and the roundabout of Carretera del Pla / Portitxol (Consum) will be closed.

• The Travessia de les Cansalades will be closed to vehicle traffic in the section between Calle Arborcer (next to Punt Verd) and the "Carrasco roundabout".

• Drivers wishing to go towards Camí Cabanes from Carretera del Portitxol will have to take Carretera del Pla and the "masymas" roundabout, then take Estrasburg Avenue, Calle Brussel·les and Carrasco roundabout, which will only allow exit towards Camí Cabanes. Haja Street will be enabled during the works as the opposite direction to the current one (i.e., exit towards Arenal).

• Drivers wishing to go towards Carretera del Portitxol or Arenal from Camí Cabanes will be diverted through Calle Alborcer (next to Punt Verd) to exit at the "Consum roundabout" and take the desired direction.

• To access Camí Cabanes from the "Carrasco roundabout", drivers will have to do so via Camí dels Adsubies or, if they want to reach the Pinosol area, via Camí Cansalades.

• Heavy vehicles (over 3.5 T: trucks, buses, etc.) will only be allowed to use Camí Cabanes for circulation. Only heavy vehicles dedicated to construction and services will be allowed through Travessia dels Cansalades, using this route as access and exit via its junction with Benitatxell Road (CV-740).

The Provincial Council has placed temporary signage at all points and intersections, and the passage for residents of the areas is guaranteed, albeit subject to the progress of the works.
